Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way, you think and behave.

CBT is a well supported, evidence-based approach that can help with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, low mood and sleep difficulties, recommended by NICE guidelines.

Developed specifically for menopausal symptoms, CBT can assist women in managing hot flushes and night sweats (vasomotor symptoms). Additionally, it has shown effectiveness in clinical trials for women navigating menopause and for breast cancer patients.

CBT sessions, what to expect

Sessions are available face-to-face at Willow Health in Bridge of Allan, Stirling, Central Scotland, or virtually online. Each sessions is 50 minutes and the fee is £65 per session. Once booked in you will be sent an intake form and an invoice for your session. This must be paid in advance to secure your appointment. In your initial session, we’ll start by getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and discuss your goals for therapy.  This first meeting is about building trust and understanding how I can support you best. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and share what’s important to you. By the end, we’ll outline a plan for moving forward, always at a pace that feels comfortable for you.  I look forward to working with you on your journey toward positive change!
